Artblog of a girl called Scheree
Take a ball of crazy, add some sugar, draw some art, watch cartoons and play some video games. Congratulations you just baked a Scheree."If all else fails yell ADVENTURE! and walk against the crowd"
"I’m not weird, I’m highly eccentric."
This is good Scheree, I like the pose I would just suggest further exagerating the L.O.A. The character pose is sluggish, so I'd add more of a S shape to the L.O.A and weight for shoulders and perhaps if you move the hair to slump to the front over the shoulders it'll express the pose emotion better. Also if it's more extreme for the slump of the character it'll express the mood even more to the audience. I have a few links following for examples of useful line of action and posing etc. I could use this a lot for mine also. I think this is good work!:)

Hi Scheree.
ReplyDeleteNice clear line of action. It is helpful to whip up half a dozen really fast thumbnail poses. Pusing the line of action each time to the point where thing look wrong. The aim is to go past perfect and then wind it back. It is hard to find perfection without going past it. Drop the back heel down and the front foot toe down, even if you have to shorten the stride.
Zade gave you a pretty good critique (well done both of you). Definitely look at Jamaal Bradley's site. He is one of the teachers at my animation online course and he is an amazing 2D animator.
The fundamentals of the pose are all competent.
I agree with Zade to push the LoA a bit more. Also based on a 'low' energy description, drop parts of the body down, as if gravity is dragging things down. Drop the core/lower abdomen into the legs. Drop the shoulders down. Drop the chin down further.
