Character concepting.

Left: girl when she's 11-12 yrs. Right: when she's 15-16 yrs.

some more old stuff

We went to a games night back in ... May . While we didn't win any of the rounds we did however win the "best tablecloth".

This was the actual tablecloth. It took over my bed O_o;

and my contribution towards it. It's still hanging on my wall.

Close ups!

Out of all my drawings this guy got the most attension. Everyone loved him. I love him too, just about as much as the cheese we were eating at the time XD

Apparently we needed animals.

Then when we ran out of tablecloth we raided every other table and began to draw on coasters

Some old stuff from the first half of 2009
All are ballpoint pen and scrap paper.

Some character designs for a story concept

More character designs. This time for a cartoon series idea I had

Wow it has been a while.
Well I'm back and I'm going to utilize this space some more :)

Last post I put up some progression shots of a shirt I was making. Well it's now finished and it is awesome!

Materials: Plain white shirt, sketched onto with 2b pencil and coloured with fabric markers. Light box used for tracing logo's.
Time taken: uhh 4-5 hours over 3 weekends while watching movies
Other details: Front has the Ratatouille logo and characters from the film (Remy, Emile, Linguini and Colette); Left Sleeve has the shadow of Luxo Jnr from the Pixar logo; Back has the Pixar logo and reads PIXAR animation studios fan. (and has plenty of room for signatures)

I've never worked with markers like this before so I experimented quite a bit. Hence why Linguini has three extra shades to his skin.

as I said over at deviantART

I am such a geek.
XD

and here's the progression shots from the last post compiled nicely.

Also a painting.

Actual size: 10x15 cm
Tools: tablet, photoshop

It's of a friend from work. I hope she doesn't know I did it. I wanna try do the whole office before letting everone know.
Actully finished it a while ago. It's the very first painting I did which got me interested in the style, so it's more a practise. I'm gonna do another better one of her :)
Painting's alot more fun than I originally thought. Then again this is digital compared to traditional.

I'm going to the PIXAR exhibition in Melbourne next month and the Australian Ratatouille premiere is meant to be happening the same week. I hoping to maybe get some pixarian people to sign the back :)

And lastly some more Ratatouille arts
I was trying to prove a point that my style is just round and not chibi, so in order to prove it I drew them chibi like

(real descriptions are at the other end of the links)

First some old images, done back in August 2006. found them floating around the backend of my website

Hehe.. I remeber doing this after the final of Doctor Who season 2. I am very proud of that Darlek

Tablet Photoshop

Done around the same time. first concept of a human rosie
Tablet Photoshop

And somethind I did today

After finding those first two images I was spurred to draw Rosie up again (that and the real thing has been on my back about it lately) so Rosie recevied an upgrade.
Red and blue ballpoint A5

Over the last few weeks we have had a lot of meetings at work. Being the new kid I don't really understand what everyone's talking about so I end up drawing in my sketch book.
I can't wait till school comes back

Sad attempt at drawing Remy from Ratatouille. Gave up trying to make it him and turned it into a Rat study instead. Very Ratatouille inspired. That one of the two backs on a roof was based on some Official concept art I've seen.
